All the odds were beat this weekend in Metz! With only 10 skaters for two bouts, a floor that we eventually nicknamed “the swamp” for its sluggishness, one broken plate, two sprained fingers, one wrist guard snapped, one wacky knee, and one severely insulted ACL, we did it:
237:118 against the Gent Go-Go Roller Girls’ comeback-strong Cuberdonnas and
157:99 against our powerful hosts of Roller Derby Metz Club
KitschTornado, Zandy Zunder, Crazy Crystalline, Anktion, WarGina, Dr. Callie Collision, Tribble Trouble, Daria Mörderdorffer, Hans-a-Blast, and Victoria Siempre skated their hearts out while Eve the Chief (bench) and CaRolla CaRachow (line up) kept them alive as a team.
