Innsbruck will host the World Championship
From July 3rd to 6th, 2025, Olympiaworld Innsbruck will host the 2025 Roller Derby World Cup, the most prestigious major sporting event in the roller derby universe. 49 national teams (Austria, USA, Vietnam, etc.) as well as so-called borderless teams (Black Diaspora Roller Derby, Jewish Roller Derby, etc.), which transcend the idea of national affiliation, with around 1,000 players, guarantee an unparalleled event that will delight fans of the full-contact sport and beyond. The World Cup is hosted by the Fearless Bruisers – Innsbruck’s own roller derby team – and the Roller Derby World Cup Planning Committee. In addition to the action at Olympiaworld, everyone can look forward to numerous side events, including concerts, demonstrations, and roller disco.
